Hearts with wings ......

A while back, my upline achieved a huge landmark as a Stampin' Up! demo; here's the card I made to say well done on her success.

It uses the Affection Collection set from the AW catalogue. I thought it apt for the someone who has given her team of he(art)s their wings.

I also dug out my spritzing tool for an extra splatter!

Party .... the Polar Way .....

I love the cute penguins in the Polar Party set! The wreath, stocking and candy cane are all separate stamps so the combination possibilities are huge! I used my trusty Stamp-a-ma-Jig to line up the elements. I use this fabulous tool on pretty much every project I make! It's has definitely earned its keep!

The images were coloured with a mix of marker pens and blender pens. The arty shot!

Button Jar anyone .....

As kids, my sis and I used to spend a lot of time at my Grandma's house (she lived at no. 4, us at no.44). One of the things that fascinated us and held our attention for hours was the button tin. This was a hand-by down through the generations and we've since discovered that the railway buttons most likely came from an ancestor who was a Station Master in the 1840s. The buttons are now a prized possession of my sister, buttons to her are what ribbon is to me. She has jars and jars of buttons and this gave the idea for her birthday card.

I used the Button Button set and a mix of circle punches to make her another jar of buttons! The jar was cut from velum using the fab cannery framelit dies from the AW catalogue. The pin cushion was cut down from the jar lid die. The velum is stuck down under the buttons at the bottom and the pin cushion at the top so I could hide th adhesive. The sentiment uses the Itty Bitty Banners set that I earned for FREE during Sale-a-Bration earlier this year and cut with the matching framelits

A sprinkling of buttons finishes the inside.

In addition to buttons, my sis loves hares. I had a bracelet made for her with hare charms so needed a gift box. I made this with the petal cone die.

The bow was made from the now retired Attic Boutique papers which I had kept especially to make this.

.... it all went a little bit punch-tastic......

.... when I started making a card for my Mum's birthday recently, I reached for a piece of the new core'dinations card stock that I had embossed with the new woodgrain folder at the team stamp day. Then I reached for a punch, then another, then another, then ..... you can guess what's coming! Here's the finished card.

The Core'dinations was sanded to expose the core. The bunting was sewn together to keep it in place whilst it was positioned. Here comes the arty shot!

The sentiment came from the now retired hostess set Happy Birthday Wishes and the alphabet is also one we said goodbye to at the end of September, Just Perfect, which I have hung on to. The .... and ! were added with the matching marker pen, gotta love those for the finishing touches!
