One in a million .........

............ I have to admit it,  I am loving the two part sentiment sets, one for the outside and one for the inside.

This card was CASEd from one in the Annual Catalogue and was one of the makes at our last group meet.

The fluted ends of the banners were made by feeding the strips into the large heart punch. The sentiment was coloured using the markers to get the two colour effect and the lattice fixed onto dimensionals gives the depth. Brace yourself ............... here comes the arty shot!!!!

And here's the inside partner stamp, again coloured with the marker pens.

If you would like to join us at our next meet on 9th March, please get in contact. All materials and light refreshments are provided, just bring your lunch! Pre-booking is essential.

Sharing carrots .........

........... well, anything goes at a He(art)s training day!

One of the best things about team meet ups is the inspiration that my fellow demos bring. We all have our own styles .... did I mention I'm the prissy, neat one who likes symmetrical?  ....... and our own favourite colour combos. So we held the crafty part of the day as a shoebox swap and made each others projects.

I decided to go with an Easter theme and go 3D! Here's my project I took to share .......

Yep ...... we made carrots! This used the very versatile Petal Cone Die and the Autumn Accents which I was very happy to see on the carry-over list from the new catalogue ...... you could say I was a happy bunny! The leaves were scored in the centre to give 'movement' to the leaves and the carrot closes with an over and under fold.

I added a cute bunny botty disappearing down into the warren with punch art and a Easter greeting adds the stamping!

The chocolate bunnies I took to go in the carrots didn't last long! Chocolate and crafting - an excellent day!

If you would like to be part of the next training day, please get in touch about becoming part of my team.

Oh Hello.......

........ and a good morning to you!

Today's card uses yummy products from the new Spring / Summer catalogue that I was able to get into my craft room a whole month before the catalogue became live - just another perk of being a Demonstrator!

OK, so I will hold my hand up and admit that I didn't think that i needed this set at first, but as soon as I got a fellow demo's set in my hands, it went to the top of the next order! The Oh Hello set and matching framelits are also bundled to save you money. Co-ordinated and discounted, how fabulous!!!

The chevrons and the flower were inked using markers to get the multiple colours. The Natural Trim ribbon gives a wonderfully tactile feel. I also used the new Honeycomb embossing folder - this is the bigger size that embosses the entire front of a C6 card. You can see the detail and depth of the embossing in the piccie below.

I repeated the chevron detailing on the inside to carry through the design. Clean and simple, just how I like it!

If you have any questions about the products that I have used or would like to place an order, please get in contact.

Pinterest ......

......... I was browsing recently and found a design I loved that I just had to case especially as it used one of my favourite new sets, Summer Silhoettes. I don't normally make an exact copy but for this one I loved the colours, design and simplicity. The original post can be found here.

I did change it slightly..... I made my box lid from Saharra Sand which has overtaken Crumb Cake as my go to neutral - who would have thought that possible?!?

Instead of holding chocolates, I made a set of 4 matching notelets and tied them and the envelopes with matching Cherry Cobbler seam binding.

Here's the set together. Elegant in its simplicity I think.

If you would like any more details about the products used or to place an order, please get in touch.

Sale-a-brating ......

A little while back, I participated in a swap for the amazing choice of products that can be earned for free during Sale-a-Bration 2013. I decided to focus on some of the accessories that are included this year; here's my make.

I used the beautiful vintage faceted buttons and sewed them onto a double loop ribbon bow and the oh so sparkly silver glimmer paper. The colours are the 2012-14 In-Colors of Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green.

The main images are stamped from the ever versatile Serene Silhouettes - I even used this set on some of my Christmas cards, with a sentiment from Pursuit of Happiness, another great set with more unusual greetings.

Ooooops .......

...... long time no see!

I recently went to my first ever Baby Shower which was also combined with  regular crop to surprise the Mum-to-Be. Now the stork has been, I can share my gift.

He had a "bump nickname" and I wanted to incorporate this into my make. So I customised a plain baby grow for Team Nugget.

I used fusible web onto the Mum's favourite Spice Cake material and whizzed though my Big Shot to cut the letters using the Typeset Alphabet die. The letters were fixed onto the baby grow and then stitched on to hold them firmly in place no matter how many times it goes through the washing machine.

The gift wrap was a plain paper bag and of course I had to Stampin' Up!ify it. I used the adorable feet image and sentiment  from the Baby Prints set. Of course a little bit of ribbon was needed to!

Simple but effective! And very sparkly thanks to the gorgeous Silver Glimmer Paper which can be yours free if you hold a qualifying home demo party during Sale-A-Bration! If you would like to book a party, please get in touch.
