Ready, Steady .......

..... go Egg Hunt! So who is egg hunting tomorrow?

I made these adorable baskets which hold a surprising amount of chocolate .... I know some little ones who will be pleased with these! The basket design was shared by the lovely Bekka Priddeaux, who is my Stampin' Up Great Grandma .... not so sure that she'd like to be described as that!

It uses absolutely no stamping! The flowers were cut using the Blossom Party die and layered. I also used the Little Leaves sizzlit and the Beautiful Wings embosslit.

Here's the back of the basket, left undecorated so you can see how it is formed.

All ready to go egg hunting!

Sending more get well wishes ....

... now it's been delivered I can share with you too.

I wanted to make an extra special card so I made a tri-fold with a firm favourite, Stippled Blossoms!

Here's the card from the front. The two small panels decorated with the rosebuds were a labour of love ..... using 2 step stampin' with 2 different markers on each stage. The trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig was well used but I love the final effect and I think so worth it!

The greeting comes from Perfectly Penned, a set I was so happy to see make the leap from the US catalogue into ours!

Here's the card open, you can see more of the rosebuds and also a glimpse of the back panel where I repeated the rose, only this time it was stamped directly onto the panel.

Here's the middle panel. I like to add my message onto this panel. Another get well wish, this time from Teeny Tiny Wishes and of course another rosebud!

Here's the card opened up. The patterned paper is from the 2012-14 In Color stack. The colours used are Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi.

Very Versatile ......

...... sounds like a new Stampin' Up! colour but it's how I describe the amazing Candy Wrapper Die. I was asked to demo to a craft group focussing on 3D items. I'll share my demo make another time but for our make and take we used the Candy Wrapper die to make Easter treat boxes. To show a little of the versatility of this die, I took along a few examples of what you can make.

First up is a wedding favour decorated with the Just Married stamps and the Artisan Embellishment kit, both from the Spring / Summer catalogue.

Next up is an elongated gift box stamped with the flourish from Everything Eleanor. The beautiful lace is also from the Artisan Embellishments kit.

A split apart cracker box, you can add snaps or just shout bang. The florish comes from Creative Elements.

Last up is the Candy Wrapper in its usual guise. This is an extra one I made before Christmas .... number 48! We used these as table favours on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day when we had lots of family and friends join us. I also made these for everyone at work too instead of a card ..... they were received very well but I have a sneaking suspicion that the chocolate inside won them over!

If you would like to find out how to get more out of your dies, please contact me to book a demo either at your home, craft group or get together.

One for the boys ....

.... well, they have birthdays too!

It uses every element of the Open Sea set ..... although the anchors are hard to spot on the photo as it uses same colour ink on card for a random pattern. The boat was stamped separately and cut out .... I even cut some of the rigging detail too!

A little gold ink was added onto the sales for a subtle sparkle! The edges were distressed using the new distressing tool - a bargain at just £4.50 and no more blunting scissors or risking fingers! A little light inking was added with the new sponges .... I find these much easier to use than the daubers ...... have you tried them yet?

The inside was decorated too and finished with a happy birthday from the ever versatile Teeny Tiny Wishes. If you onl have one sentiment set, it has to be this one ..... there's a greeting for practically every occasion!

Ssssshhhhhhh ......

........ It's a secret! Well, it's the worst kept secret! I love, love, love stamps that have matching punches or framelits! Especially when they come bundled to save you money!!!

This is a set we put to good use at our last group meet to make a cheerful Birthday Bloom card......

It uses the exclusive Pool Party Core'dinations and the In-Colors of Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green. I also demonstrated how to split the greeting so you can get more versatility out of the stamps. The Pool Party was embossed and lightly sanded and fixed in place with dimensionals. The flowers were coloured using the sponges which give a pretty variegated effect. They were lifted using dimensionals and finished with some very sparkly jewels.

The inside was decorated too ..... here's how the greeting normally stamps.

Our next meet is on 13th April in Scarisbrick; please let me know if you would like to join us!

Easter Blessings .......

........ this is one of the cards that we made at our March meeting. It uses the single Easter Blessings stamp from the Spring / Summer catalogue teamed with Crosses of Hope from the Annual Catalogue.

The cross was stamped with Versa Mark and embossed using the pewter embossing powder. This is such a great colour, in real life it has more depth than silver but it still has that sparkle. We also used my new Stampin' Up! heat tool which was freshly unwrapped just a few days before! I love it already ...... it has two heat settings and is the quietest I have ever used!

Check out that sparkle!!! The flower was punched using the Boho Blossoms punch, layered and topped off with a pearl. The leaves are cut down from the branch in the Bird Builder punch.

A simple message on the inside too.

Yippee and Hooray ............

............. it has to be Storybook Friends!

This set always reminds me of vintage children's books! I just could not decide which of the cute characters to use ..... so I used them all!

I decided to make another set of cards and of course needed a box too! The box is made from a single sheet of A4.

I made the box like a wallet, with a velcro fastening.

The animals each have their own greeting too. They were stamped in Early Espresso ink and coloured using the fabulous watercolour pencils and a blender pen. Here are the cards .......

I just can't choose a favourite character ...... I think I've narrowed it down to 3 of them! Which is your favourite? Here's the set all together.

If you'd like any more details of the box or the products that I used, please get in touch.

Happy Mother's Day ..............

............ to you all! But especially to my Mum.

I used a new favourite on my card ..... Stippled Blossoms. I adore the detail that you get with this set.

Ooooops ..... not sure what happened to this picture ...... it turned on its head! Just a little inside decoration too.

I added a little bit of decoration on the gift bag too ....... unfortunately I was running out of time so it had to be simple ..... I would have liked to add some stamping direct to the bag too.

It's a tradition in our family that the fur-babies send flowers to my Mum ......even they co-ordinated!

Remember ...... you only have until 22nd March to benefits from the amazing free products before we say goodbye to Sale-a-Bration 2013. Drop me a line to book your party or place an order.

Still Sale-a-Brating ..........

............ this is another of the cards that we made at the last group meet. It uses two of the sets that can be yours for free until 22nd March!

The background was randomly stamped using the Bloomin' Marvellous set in Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade and the 'thanks' is from Vintage Verses. Apothecary Accents framelits cut both the aperture and the sentiment panel.

I had to add some ribbon detail too ......

And just a little bit of inside decoration too!

If you would like to get the stamps sets I used for free please get in touch to place your order.

Sweet roses ........

............ for a get well wish! I needed to send a get well wish and finally settled on a shaped easel card using my go-to labels framelits. I used a soft palette of Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi and teamed them with the First Edition papers ....... gotta love those! And of course no card is complete without some silver glimmer paper in the mix too ...... you can get yours for free if you hold a qualifying home demo during Sale-a-Bration ..... you have until 22nd March!

The images are from the Stippled Blossom set, a new favourite! It is a 2 step stamping set and is so detailed, cue extreme close up!

The framelit card was an unusual shape, so out came my trusty score board and I made a matching box ....... which of course had to be decorated too.

Here's the set all together.
